Brussels is set to increase humanitarian aid to Palestine just one day after it had planned to suspend funds to the country.
Josep Borrell, Vice President of the EU Commission announced this evening that while the EU reviews funding to the warring country “we have to increase our humanitarian support to the victims of this tragedy”.
The European Commission first U-turned on its decision to suspend development aid to Palestine yesterday, stating “there will be no suspension of payments”.
Just five hours before the U-turn, it was said the payment would be “immediately suspended. All projects put under review. All new budget proposals … postponed until further notice.”
