Pavement repair work on eastbound Interstate 70 near Wadsworth Boulevard and the Interstate 76 exchange could result in 30-minute delays for motorists on August weekends.
“While impacts should be minimal during the weeknights, there could be up to half-hour delays during the weekends,” according to a Colorado Department of Transportation news release.
Significant repairs are scheduled on eastbound I-70 near the I-76 exchange and on eastbound I-70 from Garrison Street to Wadsworth Boulevard in August.
Road work during weeknights involves removing deteriorated sections of roadway and preparing for resurfacing. Roadway sections will be paved during the weekends.
“While work will be restricted to nights during the weekdays, there will be lane closures during the day and night over the weekends,” CDOT said. “Lane closures will impact travel with up to half-hour delays during August weekends.”
The work, scheduled to end the morning of Sunday, Aug. 23, and schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions and other possible factors.
