Woman who married rag doll claims shes pregnant with couples second baby

A woman who "married" a rag doll says she's "pregnant" with the unusual couple's second child.

Meirivone Rocha Moraes skyrocketed to fame after falling in love with Marcelo, the rag doll her mum made for her, and eventually deciding to tie the knot last year.

And despite having a few ups and downs – including inanimate Marcelo "cheating" on his wife – the 37-year-old from Brazil says the pair have overcome their hurdles and are now expecting.

“I'm very happy because I'm pregnant with Marcelo again,” Meirivone told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

"This time we're going to have a girl. We are so happy," she said, adding that even if the child turns out to be a boy, they'll still welcome the child with open arms.

Taking to TikTok, Moraes made the announcement by showing off what appeared to be a positive pregnancy test in a now-viral post that has racked up over 375,000 views and more than 24,000 likes.

Captioning the video, in which she could be seen jumping up and down and grinning while holding the test up to the camera, Moraes wrote: "I am pregnant!"

Fans were quick to congratulate the couple and share their well-wishes – although some TikTok users were more sceptical of the announcement.

“CONGRATULATIONS, YOU DESERVE [IT],” said one follower, while another chimed in: “This Marcel is the guy.”

A third added: “I want a relationship like this.”

But another was less enthusiastic, adding: “She needs help,” while a fellow critic agreed: “Very crazy.”

The news comes as a welcome surprise for Moraes and her lifeless husband after the couple was rocked by infidelity last year.

Moraes was horrified last year to discover Marcelo had been unfaithful to her – despite not being able to move or talk.

"Since finding out that he cheated on me, we have been very distant," Moraes added. "We still live in the same house but it isn't the same.

"But now, because of the baby, things are different.

"Marcelo has been much more affectionate with me and I believe that this will improve our relationship.

"This new baby will save our marriage."

The pair already have one "son" together, another ragdoll named Marcelinho, who was "born" painlessly on May 21 last year.
