A woman who downed three bottles of wine a day has been jailed after it emerged she tortured her husband of 20 years.
Sheree Spencer subjected her husband to such serious abuse that he was left with a cauliflower ear and a chipped elbow.
The horrifying details were laid bare at Hull Crown Court last week, Hull Live reports.

The 45-year-old, of Beals Close, Market Weighton, admitted coercive and controlling behaviour towards her husband – who said he felt "trapped" – between January 2016 and June 2021.
It got so bad that she once smashed a wine glass on the back of his head, as well as grabbing him by the throat on another occasion.
She also pleaded guilty to three offences of assault causing actual bodily harm.

The unnamed husband gave 43 photos, 36 video clips and nine mobile phone recordings to police when her abuse was finally revealed.
Spencer's "unpredictable and threatening" behaviour caused her husband to become estranged from his family, the court heard.
In one recording, she was heard saying: “You're not a f***ing man – I want you out of my life.”
Her husband said in a statement that he read to the court that he had suffered 20 years of physical and mental abuse.
He said: “She threatened to make false allegations to me to the police.
“(I) feared the consequences of speaking out.
“She continued to exert her control over me.
“I have had to seek help from my GP on several occasions.”
Defence barrister Richard Pratt KC called the case “shocking and distressing”, adding that alcohol played the most significant part in what happened.

A mixture of alcohol and her prescription medication caused her to behave in a way which "appalled" her and she accepted she had caused pain and humiliation to her husband.
"You have caused him significant psychological harm," said Judge Rayfield. "There is a history of violence and abuse against the same victim."
Spencer was given an indefinite restraining order, and was bizarrely grinning as she was taken down to the cells where she will spend the next four years.
