Two men were spotted on camera hurling wheelie bins at car and ripping wing mirrors off the vehicles in a neighbourhood.
Residents living on Wykeley Road in Coventry said the vandalism has turned their local area into a "war zone" and they don't find it safe to be staying in the area anymore.
"This part of Wyken is getting worse with car thefts, sheds getting done over, house burglaries, drug deals on the corners," resident Mike Short told Coventry Live.
"We never see a police patrol and some nights it's like a war zone. Even standing in the back garden, all you can smell is weed some nights."
CCTV video shared to the site shows the culprits trashing the streets as one man picks up a wheelie bin and throws it on top of a white car.
The lid flips open and the rubbish drop onto the car bonnet and the floor.
The man picks up his belongings and walks away.
In another clip, a man in hoodie kicks a wing mirror off a car that is parked on the side of a road.

He continues to knock off other wing mirrors while his accomplice watches on from behind.
Mike said: "Why they would do this is beyond me – they were probably off their heads on something.
"There are two massive dents on my roof. Nothing seems to be safe anymore."
Dave, another resident added: "My wife’s car got done. About five cars had their mirrors broken on our road.
"I'm sure you can imagine what I think of those responsible."
