A royal expert has claimed that Princess Diana's new statue could be the wedge that drives her two sons further apart.
Royal expert Angela Levin suggested that Prince Harry's attempt to "take ownership of his mother's legacy" could cause further heartache between the two brothers.
Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, plan to unveil a new statue of Prince Diana on Thursday to mark the occasion of what would have been their late mother's 60th birthday.
This news comes as Meghan Markle's friend Omid Scobie argued that Prince Charles should stay away from the unveiling due to his complicated history with the late Princess.

Prince William’s trust with Prince Harry ‘on very thin ground’, royal expert suggests
In a piece for The Telegraph, she said: "Certainly that statue – dreamt up in the last true summer of brotherly love – could end up casting a long shadow over Diana’s boys unless they find a way to unite, as she would no doubt want more than anything."
She also questioned Prince Harry's decision to release a speech for The Diana Awards days before the memorial, saying that it was more than just a coincidence
"Was this video performance a way of taking ownership of their mother’s legacy for himself, albeit couched in the language of LA therapy? Having given up his place in the Windsors, has Harry decided to mark his Spencer territory?" she asked.
Angela believed that the brothers had different memories and perspectives of their mother and that led them to focus on different parts of her legacy, as Prince Williams chooses to focus more on establishing a stable family unit with the Middletons.
Speaking to The Social on CTV, Omid Scobie slammed the suggestion that Prince Charles should have been invited to the ceremony, saying: "Charles has really avoided most Diana memorials and commemorative events. His association with her life is not one that is particularly positive."
It was reported that their dad Prince Charles would not attend the unveiling because it may "resurface old wounds".
A source told the Sun: "Charles has made it quite clear he will not be around beyond that because he is going to Scotland. There is no planned meeting between the three of them. Charles will leave the boys to it."
