Prince George is said to have had a delightful nickname attributed to him by his schoolmates, with the secret pet name exclusively used by friends from school.
The young royal, who celebrates his ninth birthday today, appears to have picked up quite the adorable nickname from his Thomas Battersea schoolmates.
His nickname appears to be a play on his initials, with the nine-year-old royal picking up the label while attending school – which is also attended by sister Princess Charlotte.

Reports indicate that Prince George has picked up the nickname "PG," which schoolmates are using as a nod to the initials made out of his title and first name, Prince George.
The nickname appears to have stuck at home also, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also said to label their eldest "PG or "PG Tips" affectionately after the Johnny Vegas-advertised tea brand.
Royals attending school tend to be referred to without their title, instead by their first name and the surname of their parents.
It would seem then that Prince George is referred to on the school register simply as George Cambridge.

That naming doesn't just apply to Prince George, but younger siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis too, who will likely be referred to as Charlotte and Louis Cambridge respectively, The Sun reported.
It would appear the nickname attributed to Prince George from his schoolmates and parents is a sign that the Cambridges are doing well at preparing their eldest for life in the public eye.
The Daily Star recently reported a royal expert who confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were doing a "good job" and that young George had "coped well" with a flurry of royal visits.
