Police investigating shots fired at Boulder's Millennium Harvest House

Boulder and University of Colorado Boulder police investigating a shooting at the Millennium Harvest House said there have not been any reported injuries and that they have one person in custody.

CU Boulder police tweeted an emergency alert at 10 a.m. stating that shots had been fired at 1345 28th St.

Boulder police at 10:39 a.m. tweeted that police had one person in custody but were still working on clearing the hotel.

Police said they did confirm a shot was fired in the hotel, but at this time there are no known injuries.

Boulder police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh said they are still trying to determine if the man in custody was staying at the hotel or was visiting and the sequence of events that led up to the shooting.

Police said they are not sure at this time if any other people were involved in the incident.

There is a shelter-in-place order for people within the area of Arapahoe Avenue to Taft Drive and 28th to Folsom streets, and police have asked people to avoid the area.

The parking lot of the Safeway, 2798 Arapahoe Ave., will be closed to allow for emergency vehicles.
