A proud dog owner has shared footage of her Dachshund's night-time routine that happens without fail when she wants to go to bed.
In the video, Penny the Dachshund waddles over to her soft bed, climbs inside, and then lays down on her back.
Her owner then rubs Penny's belly and makes sure she has her stuffed toy for company, then throws a soft blanket on top of her and makes sure she is wrapped up warm and cosy.
"Won't go to bed until she's tucked in," explains Penny's owner on the on-screen caption as she gently rubs her paw.
The video was watched more than 10 million times since @pennyshortlegs uploaded it on TikTok on January 14 and it received 2 million "likes" and thousands of people left comments.
One viewer gushed: "I just want to boop her little nose she's so cute!"
"Not to be dramatic but I would die for this dog," confessed a second dog fan.
A third user commented: "She’s so adorable. I have a Dachshund and whenever I sit down she has to sit on my lap. She must sit there or she’s mad."
In another cute clip, a needy Dachshund was demanding tickles on his stomach and refused to take no for an answer.
His owner said: "When David stopped he literally grabbed his hand and pulled it back to him.
"And he did this around three times to see if it was just a one-off or if he actually was taking his hand back for a chin rub."
Meanwhile, a cute Dachshund puppy learned how to ring a bell when he wants to go to the toilet, leaving viewers charmed.
This comes after a 32-year-old woman said she wanted her friends to stop telling her to have children because she was much happier looking after dogs and said kids are "annoying".
