New photo of Wills and Kate is nightmare for floundering Harry and Meghan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been slammed as "tilted reality TV stars" by a critic who claims a new photo of Will and Kate attending a glamorous red carpet event is a "nightmare" for the Sussexes.

Thursday night (May 19) saw Prince William and Kate Middleton appear at the Top Gun premiere in Leicester Square and brush arms with a myriad of A-list celebrities and actors.

Daniela Elser, a royal expert and critic, believes that photos and videos of the "sleek and sophisticated double act" couldn't have come at "the worst time" for Harry and Meghan.

In under two weeks time the ex-royal couple will be flying to the UK to join the rest of The Firm to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Writing for, Daniela said: "It will of course be their first proper visit as a family since Harry and Meghan quit royal life in high dudgeon in January 2020 and having spent the intervening years telling the world that the Palace is a cruel and racist institution.

"In a perfect example of timing being everything, right as the Cambridges stock is soaring, the Sussexes’ is floundering and right now, the chasm-like gap between the two couples’ lives is Grand Canyon-sized."

It comes as rumours circulate about the California-based couple filming a docu-series focusing on their life at home – something which has not been confirmed or denied by the Sussexes.

But Daniela has slammed this idea as sounding "curiously just like a reality TV series" and claimed the couple will be returning to the UK as the "world's most tilted reality TV stars in the making".

The critic went on to claim that the "rand future that world imagined for the Sussexes in early 2020 has failed to materialise."

She suggested this could be due to "their inability to brand themselves as royal" or "that they now have to rely on paid Hollywood flacks and staffers, rather than seasoned Palace aides".
