Naked lovers caught enjoying ‘rumpy-pumpy’ in lay-by fined £200 by police

A naked couple's "late-night rumpy-pumpy" cost them £200 after being busted by police.

Derbyshire Police interrupted the pair's steamy roadside action with a fixed penalty notice for breaking lockdown rules, the force said.

The outing for sex on an undisclosed road in Morley, five miles north of Derby, was not an essential reason to leave the house.

As officers approached the parked up vehicle, they found the pair in the nude enjoying a bit of "rumpy-pumpy" according to the constabulary's Twitter account.

Not only was the couple fined for breaching coronavirus restrictions but they were also issued with a cannabis warning.

Derbyshire Police tweeted: "Morley – undisclosed country lay-by.

"Nothing ruins a little bit of late night 'Rumpy Pumpy' quite like a couple of Covid tickets and a cannabis warning."

This is not the first time in lockdown police have found couples sneaking out of the house for a romp.

Norfolk Police reported a couple caught in the act was one of 59 incidents of Covid-19 restrictions being ignored within the space of a week, last month.

The pair who had met at Whitlingham Broad, near Norwich for sex, were from different households and fined £200.

Temporary Superintendent Nathan Clark, of Norfolk Police, said the pair were found "in a state of undress" at the beauty spot.

Another person not put off by the winter chill was a naked man strolling through the empty streets of central London in January.
