Mia Khalifas surreal Oxford University speech as she has imposter syndrome

Former porn star-turned-social media influencer Mia Khalifa claimed she had 'imposter syndrome' this week after becoming the latest high profile person to speak at the Oxford Union.

Khalifa has been back in the UK this week as she continues to spend her days touring the globe and living her best life.

And in an unexpected turn of events, the Lebanon-born 30-year-old rocked up at the prestigious Oxford Union to give a talk.

The content of her talk has not yet been made public, but clips of her entering to an adoring crowd of clapping and cheering university students have been going viral on social media.

She also shared a video posted by the Union on her Instagram and claimed she had “imposter syndrome”.

She wrote: “Truly the biggest honor of my life, thank you so much for inviting me to speak with you.

“The imposter syndrome was REAL.”

The Union has become known for hosting prestigious speakers from all walks of life in the past, including Ukraine's ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko, United States politician Bernie Sanders and . . . Matt Hancock.

However, the announcement of her talk went down like a lead balloon yesterday.

The Oxford Union's post was met with hundreds of negative comments.

One wrote: “That’s an amazing example for our children: “How to get into Oxford Union as a speaker”.

“An impressive career path to become a world-class celebrity.

“Next, I’d recommend inviting Johnny Sins and then…Putin? – well done Oxford Union committee.”

Another posted: “Too posh to describe her as an 'ex-porn star'?”

A third wrote: “Next guest 'some onlyfans girl'.”

Despite the criticism, those who were in attendance praised Mia, labelling her speech a “great talk” on Twitter.

Mia replied: “Thank you so much for having me.”

Her talk is expected to be made public in the next week or so on the Oxford Union's YouTube channel.
