Meghan Markle not flying back to UK is opportunity for royals to see old Harry

The royal family hope to be reunited with "the old Prince Harry" when he meets up with The Firm for a celebration of his mum's life., it has been claimed.

Palace sources reportedly claim Kate Middleton could help mend the rift between Prince William and Harry and without Meghan they expect to see the Harry they know and love.

According to royal pundit Camilla Tominay, Meghan is said to be preparing for a “brutal showdown” with the Palace over the bullying claims.

But Tominay, writing in The Telegraph, says "there is a sense that the Royals are having to walk a tightrope between defending the institution while keeping the Sussexes onside."

As one insider rpeortedly explained: “When they speak to the Duke [Harry] he says one thing, and they think they’ve made progress and then he speaks to the Duchess [Meghan] and they feel they’re back to square one again.

“It’s a really tricky situation they’re trying to balance here.”

Prince William and brother Harry are set to reunite as a statue is unveiled to honour their mother Princess Diana.

Kate won't be at the ceremony itself, apparently so as not to outnumber Harry, but experts say she will be busy behind the scenes trying to patch up the relationship between her husband and his younger brother.

And royal experts say the princes will put their differences aside and put on a show of unity the same way they did for Prince Philip's funeral.

According to one palace source: “Of course they will put on a brave face for the event, like they did at the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral. They both know it is not about them but remembering the late princess.

“But the idea that this can all be forgiven and forgotten… it’s going to take a lot longer than a couple of days.”
