The Mafia's "last godfather", who died suddenly in hospital yesterday (September 25), had stashed Viagra pills, video games and condoms in his hideout.
Matteo Messina Denaro, 61, was declared dead after a brief stint in hospital just months after police successfully hunted him down. The capture ended a 30-year chase for the chilling criminal boss.
Denaro had once claimed to "fill his own graveyard" with victims from his time as a Mafia head, where he placed hits on lawyers and allegedly dissolved a child in acid. He was eventually hunted down to a private health clinic.

The ruthless boss, who referred to himself as "Diabolik", made his home in the clinic police had captured him at. It appeared the crime lord was living the life of a university student, as his room was stuffed full of condoms and video games.
Not so youthful was his collection of Viagra pills, which were found alongside some oddball messages and interesting items left by the elusive Cosa Nostra boss. Police pilfered through his belongings after arresting the wanted man, who was sentenced to life in prison during his time on the run.
The ever-powerful Mafia figurehead had attempted to pass a note detailing his funeral requirements after realising he was suffering from colon cancer. Denaro's final message, scrawled on scrap paper, was meant to be handed to his bodyguard.
But the note has since been intercepted, with Denaro, who never touched technologies like computers or phones, hoping to smuggle the note through a courier who continued to visit him. One such messenger was a five-year-old, rewarded with ice cream for a job well done, Daily Mail reported.
Although Mafia heads are usually tied to Vatican City and the Catholic Church, Denaro was dead set on bucking the trend. He did not swear allegiance to it, and surprisingly it is not because of the "graveyard" he filled with victims.
He said of the church: "I reject every religious celebration because it (the Church) is made up of unclean men who live in hatred and sin." Denaro fumed the "soldiers of God" would not decide "the fate of my lifeless body".
Instead, the atheist figurehead, who was arrested after police intercepted a call with his sister, is taking his "dark secrets" to the grave after he refused to talk to prosecutors. Denaro is set to be buried in a crypt in his home town of Castelvetrano, Sicily.
