Two inmates were discovered missing at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday from Federal Correctional Institution’s Satellite Prison Camp in Florence.
Jose Rodriguez, 35, is a Hispanic male with black hair, green eyes, 5’7″ and weighs about 230 pounds.
Raul Guzman, 42, is a Hispanic male with black hair, brown eyes, 5’11” and weighs about 300 pounds.
According to a press release from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the United States Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies have been notified and an internal investigation has been initiated.
Rodriguez was sentenced in the District of Kansas to a 72-month sentence for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine. Guzman was sentenced in the Northern District of California to a 120-month sentence for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
SPC Florence is a minimum-security facility adjacent to the Federal Correctional Institution Florence and currently houses about 361 male offenders.
