A glamorous gymnast has branded poor mums "irresponsible" for having children if they can’t afford to look after them.
Karolina Sevastyanova, 25, reportedly lashed out over the issue and said pregnancy can be controlled nowadays.
The Russian athlete and model added she refuses to help poorer parents who have lots of kids.
She said she helps animal welfare groups and charities instead, according to her social media.
The group rhythmic gymnast made the remarks during an Instagram question and answer session with her 600,000 followers on Instagram.
Karolina, the 2012 Olympics Group All-around champion, was asked why she refuses to help cash-strapped mothers.
She said: "These people chose to be so irresponsible.
"We do not live in the Stone Age where the issue of pregnancy cannot be controlled.
"When you already know that you cannot take care of one child why give birth to a second, a third, a fourth?
"Is it even fair to the children when you cannot provide them with a good future?"

She also claimed she should not be made to feel responsible for the actions of other people.
Karolina, who has now retired from the sport, was also crowned the Youth Olympic Games Group All-around champion in 2010.
She regularly shares glamorous snaps of herself on her Instagram page.
Back in 2015, she appeared on the cover of the Russian edition of Maxim magazine.
Last summer she shared a picture of herself posing with Irish UFC star Conor McGregor, 32.
In the snap, she hugged him while he held a fighting pose with a fist clenched, while smiling.
But she did not reveal where she had met him, or when.
