Girl, 13, gang-raped for eight days after being kidnapped and dragged into car

A 13-year-old Indian girl has bravely told of how she was kidnapped and repeatedly gang-raped for eight days.

Three men have been accused of the horrifying attack in Delhi after the child was rescued by her family.

The girl told reporters from hospital: "I was forcefully dragged by three men into a vehicle when I went out early morning.

"They took turns to sexually assault me for eight days. They threatened with dire consequences if I informed anyone."

She was allegedly taken from Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri on January 15 and went to the Aucha police station with her parents on Thursday, Times of India reports.

Her family have now claimed police toned the charges against Aakash from Etah district and Hariom and Guddu from Mainpuri down to register only an abduction against them, it was reported.

The girl's uncle reportedly said in a complaint which was shared with the newspaper: "We did not inform police about the missing girl earlier due to social stigma attached to it and started searching for her on our own.

"After rescuing her from Delhi and learning that she was assaulted sexually by three men for eight days, we decided to file the police complaint."
