The White House’s chief coronavirus medical adviser has called on his fellow Americans to not ignore coronavirus measures amid a fear that cases levels in the US have plateaued. Dr Fauci has warned with the number of people testing positive remaining stubbornly level there remained a risk that the virus could make a comeback. The expert pointed to the third wave currently being experienced in Europe as a sign of what could happen to the United States.
Speaking to ABC News, Dr Fauci said: “The number of cases in the country has plateaued.
“That is not good, they should keep going down and down.

“When you plateau like that there really is a danger of a resurgence.”
