The allegation about the US President and his daughter come from Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, former senior advisor to First Lady Melania Trump. Ms Wolkoff recently released a book, Melania & Me, detailing the Trump family power dynamics. The book also revealed the tense relationship between Ms Trump and the First Lady.
In an interview with Channel 9 Australia’s 60 Minutes, Ms Wolkoff revealed Mr Trump’s plans for his daughter.
She claimed the family are trying to “fleece the nation” by keeping Trump’s in power.
The former adviser added: “The fact that he’s literally getting Ivanka ready to become a President and already putting that in people’s minds is just insane.”
Ms Trump has served as an advisor to her father since 2017, and has frequently taken centre stage at Republican events and rallies.
Ms Wolkoff added the First Lady has stepped aside for Ivanka, and is “complicit” her being prepped to be the next President.
She added of Mrs Trump: “She has succumbed to her stepdaughter’s ability to squash her as the First Lady to do anything effective to affect change.
“If Donald had to pick between, you know, branding Ivanka or branding Melania, well, he’s already shown us who he’s branded, right?”
The former adviser continued by saying the First Lady is “not unhappy” with the Trump daughter being positioned to be the next leader of the US.
Ivana Trump, the President’s ex-wife, has touted her daughter as “definitely” the first female President.
In an interview with ITV’s Loose Women, she added Ivanka is “in the White House every day” and “knows all what is going around”.
Ms Trump added: “I think she could be one day the first girl, or woman, president. Definitely.
“She’s smart as hell. She’s beautiful. She’s au courant. And how much more can you have?”

Ms Wolkoff made her comments after her book about the First Lady was published.
In the book, the former adviser claimed Mrs Trump once described Ivanka and other Trump family members as “snakes”.
Ms Wolkoff added about the First Lady’s thoughts on Ivanka becoming president: “Melania would roll her eyes whenever she heard Ivanka ramble on about her grand plan on becoming America’s first female president with Jared by her side.
“Jared would ultimately chime in with, ‘She’s got what it takes, she’s a born leader, the people love her, look at her’ and Melania would mumble no thank you.”
The Trump daughter recently made an appearance in Arizona, a key battleground state in the upcoming 2020 election.
Ms Trump visited Phoenix to volunteer on phones calling Latin households asking for votes on November 3.
She also met with Republican Governor Doug Ducey at a business roundtable, where she touted her fathers policies.
She added that at the start of the year “Every single group was experiencing an incredible boom that was coming as a result of smart economic policy”.
