Depraved couple who abused underage girls and ‘hypnotised’ one to dance for them

A depraved couple who carried out a horrific campaign of sexual abuse against underage girls and "hypnotised" one to dance have been jailed.

Paedophile Mark Aspin, 44, and his partner Debbie Pickersgill, 46, engaged in group sex with two of the youngsters at their home.

The musician groomed and abused three teenage girls over a period of ten years, HullLive reports.

One was just 11 when she was first raped by him while two others were 13.

He claimed he "hypnotised" one girl, with CCTV showing him getting her to "pose like a model and dance".

But this was his grooming technique, although he said was a "real hypnotist”.

The victims reported him to the police in April after years of torment and abuse.

The vile couple, from Hull, were convicted of a string of sex offences at Grimsby Crown Court.

Aspin was locked up for 27 years while Pickersgill was jailed for three years on Monday.

In a statement, one victim said: “Mark Aspin took away my childhood and destroyed me.

“He made my innocent mind believe it was normal to learn sex in this way.

‘He caused me to have issues trusting people, even now as I'm older he made me think I was a piece of dirt on the ground.”

Another said: “He changed my life forever.

“Mark physically abused me and attacked me.

"He ruined every romantic relationship I ever had.

“I am now so lonely because of him and hope I can get the confidence to build meaningful relationships in the future.”

Judge Ahmed Nadim said Aspin "manipulated" his victims and his crimes got worse as his confidence grew.

He said: “You showed you are a manipulative and dishonest person who has crafted a code of sex that is far beyond the norm and the law.

"You are a predatory paedophile. You have utterly blighted the childhoods of three girls.”

He praised the victims for showing “courage, honesty and action to prevent others from being abused”.

Aspin was convicted of 22 offences including child cruelty, sexual activity with a child and 15 counts of rape.

He had already pleaded guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child.

Pickersgill was found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child.
