There’s a good chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms in northeastern Colorado through Thursday and some storms on the Eastern Plains could be severe.
In Denver on Tuesday, there’s a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service forecast. Skies will be mostly sunny and the high temperature will hit 90 degrees. Winds will gust to about 20 mph.
On Wednesday in Denver, the chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be 40%, the weather service said. Skies will be mostly sunny, the high temperature will top out at 88 degrees and winds will gust to 20 mph.
Skies over Denver on Thursday will be mostly sunny as the high temperature climbs to 91 degrees, according to the weather service. There will be a 30% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Stormy weather over the Eastern Plains on Tuesday and Wednesday, likely during the afternoon and evening, could produce large hail and damaging winds.
