A bomb squad has descended on an explosion in a city centre – with "glass and steel" everywhere.
The blast occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, the US, around 5.40am local time morning, and caused "heavy structural damage" to a building on Second and Broadway, near Commerce Street.
A parked RV is believed to have caused the explosion, according to Metro Nashville Office of Emergency Management district chief.
The building was “devastated” by the blast and vehicles on the adjacent road are on fire.
Around 20-30 people have been evacuated, and there are believed to be five casualties.
Police officers believe there may be additional bombs in other vehicles, and have told personnel to keep their distance downtown.
Residents reported feeling shaking in the area during the explosion.
