Adult actress Dakota Skye died after taking a cocktail of illegal substances

It has been revealed that porn star Dakota Skye died after taking a cocktail of different drugs.

The 27-year-old adult actress sadly died in June this year, and now the coroner has ruled her death as accidental. The cause of death was listed as "acute multidrug intoxication".

Before her death Skye was in and out of rehab and struggled with an addiction to fentanyl, an extremely powerful opioid.

She was found dead in a trailer in Los Angeles, US.

Talking to The Sun, her friend and colleague James Bartholet said: "She was really trying to get clean but she got involved with people that were a bad influence on her.

"She had been put in rehab so many times.

"A lot of girls in the industry are going through a lot of stuff. It's tough."

He also explained that she wasn't with her friends or family in the time before her death.

"I feel like the last time that I saw her she was walking away and I did not know if I would ever see her again. I told her she needed to get help, to go to hospital and to get clean," he continued.

"She said 'I promise.'"

He added: "She was a very smart woman. Everybody loved working with her. She was very popular, so beloved."

Skye's aunt, 55-year-old Linda Arden, said that her niece had been "bullied online" by other girls in the industry in the weeks before her death.

Skye had received backlash after she posed topless in front of a mural to George Floyd, the man who was murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis in May last year.

Skye's aunt added: "Her real life story and how she came to be in that industry has truly been a tragedy.

"She died almost exactly two years after her mother, my baby sister's death which was caused by addiction and alcoholism.

"Lauren was a product of a highly dysfunctional family involving drugs, alcohol, physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse.

"She was stalked by demons like no one will ever understand unless you've lived it.

"She no longer has to walk through this world in pain in her own prison and that gives me comfort to know she no longer has to fight the voices and images that haunted her."

Two of Skye's grandparents had also died of Covid in the past year, and she had become estranged from her husband.
