The former Brexit secretary told talkRADIO he thinks the UK will eventually get a trade deal with the European Union. Mr Davis told Julia Hartley-Brewer that the first three years of the negotiations matter less than the last three weeks.
Ms Hartley-Brewer asked: “Are we going to get a Brexit deal or not?”
Mr Davis replied: “Am I going to sound like a broken record now?
“Do you remember the first three years matter less than the last three weeks?
“We are not yet at the last three weeks, it will go on and it will go on.
“We will eventually get a deal, that is my best guess.
“It is about 75 to 80 percent probable.”
Last week Mr Davis claimed some European nations do not want Britain to be successful after Brexit which has led to the deadlock in negotiations.
The former Brexit Secretary told LBC the European Union has “paranoia” regarding other countries wanting to follow the UK in leaving the trading bloc.
The Conservative MP named France and Germany as the nations that do not want Brexit to succeed.
Mr Davis said: “I think part of this is driven by an emotional imperative, certainly from the French and to an extent the Germans.
“They did not want us to succeed.

“In leaving, they did not want us to be a model for somebody else who might leave.
“I actually think that is paranoia, nobody else in the EU is going to leave.
“Nobody else is in our position, so that is where this comes from.”
